Exhibition dedicated to the historical recovery of the customs, trades, daily life and culture of our ancestors.
It is also located in one of the most representative buildings of the Indiano architecture of Barreiros: the «Centro de Instrucción y Recreo de Benquerencia».
The objective is to value the natural, cultural and human heritage of this area of A Mariña Lucense. Thus, we can find from farming and livestock tools to tools formerly used by shoemakers, barbers, wooden shoes makers, dressmakers, fishermen, builders, etc. All pieces come from private donations.
It currently has more than 1,600 pieces on display.
The exhibition takes place on the ground floor of the building so it is suitable for people with reduced mobility.
Summer 2023 schedule: Monday to Friday from 18.30h to 20.30h (from July to mid-October)*. Consult possible changes with the managing entity.
