When the tide is at its highest, few people come to this beach. It’s 155 meters long and its width varies between 17 and 65 meters.
At the end of one of its entrances you can find a ferruginous fountain, which is currently flowing from the sand.
This beach is famous because it’s very easy to find “bíteres” here. Bíteres are a flat operculum with an ear shape and it’s exclusive of some beaches in Barreiros. The legend says that anyone who finds one will have a year of good luck and love. They also say that whoever keeps it in their wallet will be very lucky.
On the 24th of August, local holiday, there’s a big popular party to honor San Bartolo in the chapel that borrows his name.
It’s surrounded by two recreational areas, one by the main entrance to the beach and another by the sports field where the party is celebrated. This field also has a playground.
