This beach is almost 1 kilometer long and its width varies between 45 and 160 meters.
If you take a walk here, you should pay attention to the cliff, as it has interesting geological formations. On one side, it is easy to appreciate big lines of rocks that seem to cut the cliff and whose name is aplite, an intrusive igneous rock. If you pay more attention, you will see small geologic folds that show the intense activity that these rocks suffered a few million years ago.
While we walk on the sand, we find a terrain full of dramatic fractured cliffs. The most unique one is known as “Pena do Castro”. A pre-Roman castro used to be on it, but there are almost no remains of it nowadays.
Just like the Coto and Lóngara beaches, it has good conditions to go surfing.
It also has a recreational area and an entrance adapted for people with reduced mobility.
